The ARC of Washington is hosting their annual legislative reception and encourage all legislators to attend (on the capital campus) and meet their constituents from around the state. Our theme this year is “Don’t Le-go of our Lifelines” as we encourage legislators to champion bills/budget items that are important to people with developmental disabilities. Every legislator will receive a blue scarf with a themed button that has their picture on it. A new button will be distributed for the scarf each week.
After the morning's Advocacy Day events on employment services for people with DD, join us at United Churches for the Developmental Disability Issues Briefing from 2 to 4 p.m.). Go have dinner, then attend the Legislative Reception which is held in the Columbia Room in the Capital dome building from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. and let YOUR voice be heard!
