Whatcom Community College's Sustainability Club invites you to their free screening of the film Merchants of Doubt. This documentary, by the filmmaker who brought us Food Incorporated, examines the strategies used by some corporations to deceive the public into believing that their dangerous products are harmless. The film shows how fossil fuel industries use strategies first developed by cigarette manufacturers to persuade citizens to allow them to continue to do business as usual, despite the well-documented dangers of fossil fuel emissions. Merchants of Doubt screens at 4 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, in Syre Student Center, room 104. For more information, email email@example.com or visit the Merchants of Doubt website.
