Join the 40th LD Democrats Sunday, August 13, along with competing political organizations and individuals and sample some of the tastiest chili recipes in the 40th District. 

Guest speakers include Washington State Public Lands Commissioner Hilary Franz, 40th District Rep. Kris Lytton, Bellingham City Council member Roxanne Murphy, Mt. Vernon City Council candidate Iris Alicia Carias, and Sedro-Woolley City Council member Germaine Kornegay. We will also hear from Alliance For Jobs & Clean Energy on their new carbon tax initiative. 

Plus Horse and Hydrabull demonstrations by national know trainer Sue Sultze with help from Tom Pasma.

$10 at door or free with chili contest entry. Cups, bowls, cornbread provided by 40th District Democrats. Plus prizes for best chili. 🌶 

Cornbread, chips, dips, and water provided by the 40th District Democrats. Contestants should plan on bringing their own chili toppings.

More than one contestant may represent an organization. Any kind of chili is accepted (vegan, vegetarian, seafood, white, venison, etc.)

We already have contestants from the 40th LD, 39th LD, 10th LD, Skagit County Democrats, Fidalgo Democrats, Young Democrats of Whatcom County, Young Democrats of Skagit County, Whatcom County Democrats, and ACLU/Power People Committee from Indivisible Skagit.
